Guava leaves green
Guava leaves green
Our guava leaves (Psidium guajava) come from a tall, evergreen tree with bush-like branches and countless leaves full of essential oils. The original homeland of the guava is South America. There are now global populations, although they are limited to tropical areas. They are a healthy supplementary food for all invertebrates, such as shrimps, crabs and crabs, and serve as a natural water conditioner.
The leaves have a slightly antibacterial effect and can therefore have a positive effect on the aquarium water.
They only influence the pH value imperceptibly.
The valuable antioxidants, flavonoids, vitamins, minerals and humic acids make guava leaves an all-rounder in natural aquarium keeping.
Preventive and supportive for:
- bacterial infections
- fungal infections
- is said to work against Vibrio bacteria, which is said to be responsible for some shrimp diseases
- spawning fungus
- gill worms
- Parasitic infestation
- Bite wounds
To ensure that they sink more quickly, the leaves can be briefly scalded with hot water before being introduced into the aquarium.
