Witch nuts are the woody fruits of the hazelnut tree.
The witch hazel releases a small amount of humic substances, which have a positive effect on the water quality and, for example, prevent spawning fungus.
Shrimp really like witch nuts because they can find hiding places between the branches and graze on the surface. Witch nuts are particularly suitable for nano aquariums.
Our witch nuts have a circumference of approx. 8 - 12 cm. A single witch hazel is included in delivery.
Hazelnuts should be removed before introducing them into the aquarium and the nut shell should be rinsed under water.
