Casuarine cones are very similar to the well-known alder cones. The casuarina tree, also known as the kangaroo tree (Botanical: Casuarina equisetifolia), occurs from Australia to the tropical coastal regions of southeast Asia. The horsetail casuarina prefers to grow on beaches. Their fruits are buoyant, which explains their large distribution area.
Casuarinas contain the tannins that are important to us without coloring the water too much. Due to their coarse structure, casuarinas are even suitable as shelter/hiding places for baby shrimp.
You will receive 50 g of casuarina cones from us. That's about 50 large and small cones.
